What our clients have to say about their results after coming to see us

What does it feel like during treatment?

During the treatment, the laser is placed on the skin and you’ll feel a slightly cold sensation – this is due to the high powered cooling system of the laser, which helps numb the skin prior to the laser being activated.

Once the laser is activated, there is a short blast of light, and the most sensation you’ll feel is a small prickle on the skin.

After that, we will move onto the next section and the same will happen.

More than likely, you’ll not feel a thing during the session.

What should you do before the session?

  • Don’t wax, epilate or pluck the hairs for at least a month before the session
  • Don’t bleach the area or use any dyes
  • You MUST shave the area within 12 hours of the appointment
  • Don’t exfoliate or scrub the body 2 days prior or after the treatment
  • make sure there isn’t any fake tan on the area
  • You MUST use a high quality SPF suncream on the area whilst undergoing the course of treatment to avoid any unwanted damage to the skin
  • Don’t use any lotions or creams prior to the session
  • Always let us know if there is any changes to your medical history/medications
  • Don’t take any anti-histamines a day before or after the treatment

Should I shave before the appointment?

YES! Within 12 hours of the treatment, shave the entire area. If you haven’t and the area is too large for us to quickly go over any hair’s that have been missed, we will need to rearrange your appointment and this may affect the longer term outcome of your permanent hair removal

Do I need a Patch Test?

You’ll see changes after 4-6 session, often people think that’s it, but all that has happened is it has stunted the growth, it hasn’t killed the hair follicle . It usually takes on average 12 sessions to see the permanent results everyone wants.

How many session does it usually take?

Laser hair removal works by targeting the melanin (pigment) in your hair with concentrated light energy. Here’s a breakdown of how the process works:

🔬 The Science Behind It

  1. Laser targets pigment: The laser emits a beam of light that is absorbed by the dark pigment (melanin) in the hair shaft.

  2. Heat is generated: This light energy is converted into heat, which travels down the hair into the follicle (the root under the skin).

  3. Follicle is disabled: The heat damages the follicle, inhibiting or delaying future hair growth.

⚙️ What You Should Know

  • Best results occur when the hair is in the “anagen” (growth) phase, which is why multiple sessions are needed—usually spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

  • It works best on dark hair and light to medium skin, but modern lasers like the one we use are designed to safely treat a wider range of skin tones and hair types.

  • Treated hair will shed over the following 1–2 weeks, and regrowth will typically be finer and lighter.

How does it work?

  • Apply Aloe Vera Gel
Use the aloe gel we’ve provided to soothe the area. Apply 2–3 times a day for the first few days, or as needed.

  • Keep the Area Cool
Avoid heat: no hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or strenuous workouts for 24–48 hours.

  • Wear Loose Clothing
If treating the body, avoid tight clothing (like jeans or tights) to prevent friction.

  • Use Mineral Makeup Only (Face Area)
Only mineral-based makeup can be used immediately post-treatment. Avoid all other makeup for 24 hours.

  • Wear SPF Daily
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ on the treated area, especially if it’s exposed to sunlight. Avoid direct sun for at least 7 days.

  • Avoid Picking or Scratching
Let your skin heal naturally—don’t rub, pick, or exfoliate the area until it’s ready.

  • Delay Harsh Treatments
No chemical peels, microneedling, injectables, or other skin treatments on the treated area for at least 4 weeks.

  • Avoid Chlorine & Deodorants
No swimming in chlorinated pools for 48 hours, and avoid deodorants for 24 hours if underarms were treated.

  • Start Exfoliating (After 3 Days)
To help release shed hairs, use a gentle AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser starting 3 days after your treatment, 2–3 times per week.

  • Stay Hydrated & Moisturize
Drink water and keep the area moisturized with gentle, fragrance-free products (avoid active ingredients for at least 5–7 days).

What to do after your session

YES! We want to make sure you get the best outcome and if there is any unwanted damage to the area, a small 1cm2 area will be the worst of the damage, the last thing we want to do is cause permanent scarring or any blemishes on the skin

Can you have it during mensuration cycles?

YES! But, please wear sanitary products.

What if I have tattoos?

The tattoos area can not and will not be treated, however we will draw a 2cm gap either side of the tattoo to make sure that it doesn’t go near it. Sometimes, light can refract and can have a negative effect on the area so if you are concerned, we would advise not having any treatments in that area.

YES! But, please wear sanitary products.
